Brass X is a brass quintet consisting of professional classical brass performers. All members are in well-known philharmonic orchestras in South Korea.
In 2018, Brass X won a special award at the 8th Annual Art Sylvia Chamber Music Audition. They are the first brass quintet to record an album with world class tone master Jin Choi. The album, recorded with passion and expert musical analysis, is entitled The Classic and will be released by Sony Classical.
With outstanding talent in rhythm and technique, Brass X performs emotionally significant pieces of classical, jazz, and pop music. They also enjoy playing soundtracks from children’s and family movies. The band is not limited in genre and they enjoy continually expanding their repertoire.
